How do i change the headlight on a Fiat Punto, year 2001

The headlights on Fiats are just evil!!!!!

My Hayes manual was no help

l gave up trying as it looked like you needed a whole new lamp box.fiat garage wanted to charge a fortune. So l took it to a non-fiat garage as it needed an MOT anyway. they changed the lamp and only charged my for the part.

Apparently you need the right tools to fit into the tiny gap.

Unscrew the screws that hold the light to the body, unplug the cables that fits into the back of the lights, take out the bulb. Put the bulb into the new light and plug in the wires and screw back onto the body. Not very hard at all. You need a socket (prob 10mm), screw driver and a bit of patience.

For me it would be a trip to the mechanic. Im no good with fixing things. even the simple ones. and if you're anything like me- your best bet would be to take it to a professional. it may cost you a little. but its much better than ruining it, causing more damage or injuring yourself to save a few bucks! Evil is the right word .
There is a plate under the wheel arch that you are supposed to screw out ,Then get your hand in and find the special clips to take the bulb out and replace it .All this without being able to see it .Must be one of the greatest designs ever.
These vehicles are not meant to be repaired. Take it to a garage .
