hi does anyone no how to get better performance out of a fiat stilo 1.9 turbo diesel ive been told to get it remaped but not sure how to go about it and not sure how much this is going to cost has anyone had a fiat stilo remaped

NEVER MESS WITH A WELL SET UP DIESEL.Truck racing ,the pumps are opened up hence the extra black smoke.If you want diesel performance go for the police spec volvo.Otherwise use a petrol motor. l would leave it as it is,you only get to the speed traps faster with more power.EAT YER LICENCE STUFF THIS IS.

Look up Angel Tuning (angeltuning.co.uk)
They seem to be the UK is specialist at remapping JTD Fiat/Alfa engines.
Apparently the JTD ECU (the brain) is detuned so that Fiat do not have to mess about with country-specific fuelling settings (countries such as Russia, Ukraine, Poland etc have inferior grade diesel), so they r not tuned to give the best performance in countries such as ours which have good grade diesel.
On average, a 115 BHP JTD engine can be remapped to it is full potential, giving around 40 BHP more (155 BHP!).
Interestingly, this sort of remapping can actually give better MPG too (around 10-15% better), as it makes the whole engine setup much more efficient without sacrificing any of the reliability & longevity.
They can tailor the remapping to ur own personal requirements, & it costs about £300.
( l should be on commission, should not I? LOL.)
