If the car is over 3 years old, you should have replaced the battery as normal maintenance because that is usually how long an OEM battery lasts.

If every week you do not drive the car the battery dies, I'd assume that it is more then likely a draw in the electronics. A light could be on, if power seat or heated seat could be drawing electricity, a clock could stay on, check electonics when the car is in the off position. you may find it is a draw and a simple fix.

My alternator seems to have crapped out after a year of owning the car- an 81 Spider. l went on vacation for a week, without the car, sadly, and when l got back she refused to start- first time ever!
