l love old cars and are looking to buy a cute old car for when l go to college. l just saw a Fiat 600 and think it is a adorable!

It is about a 4 hour drive between college and home, so the car needs to be strong enough to drive long distances. l do not know much about it... so can anyone tell me something about this car? Is it a a strong car and okay for long distances?

Any good or bad points? List them here please!

Old Fiats cannot stand distance driving. That is why they stopped selling them in the US.

Honestly it depends on the condition of the car.
600 is now r getting rare & those that r about r either ridiculously high mileage or been sat in storage. Neither is an appealing option for long distance driving.

In terms of comfort.they r a small car to be doing long distances in as well.so not ideal unless u do not feel the need to walk when u arrive at ur destination.

On top of that there is the risk of breakdowns. As l mentioned above the 600 r getting rare & rare cars means rare parts.and rare parts generally r hard to source & cost more to buy. The engine is likely to be well run in.which consequently means breakdowns r likely. Hardly advisable if u r 2 hours into ur trip!

Good points : little car, classic charm, good for enthusiasts.

Bad points : unlikely to be withstand long distances, not comfortable for long distances, parts hard to find or expensive

Overall I'd say the cons far outweigh the pros.if u r looking for something to travel long distances as u said then u want something a bit newer that is easier to repair/less likely to breakdown. Comfort is really up to personal preference.
