My g/f has got a 1997 Fiat Punto of which she has recently damaged the passenger door. l have found a good secondhand replacement and l just wish to fit it. How do l go about removing the door and refitting the new one? What sort of tools do l need? please help!
Dave C - l must stress that it is not my car...Puntos are indeed crap - l thought dropping it from a 40 foot crane would have been better :)

Spanner or ratchet, forget which size.

Probs around 17-20?

Just bolts need undoing on the inside of the door when its open.

Best way is get in the car and start the engine. Leave the door open and drive in reverse quite fast very close to a lampost. After one loud noise the door should be off. If this does not work try again. if all this fails take the car to somewhere quiet with a gallon of petrol and a large box of matches. With you having said that its a Punto that will probably be your best course of action.
