Forget it. The engine can not handle a turbo.

Fiat has had turbo cars since right at the beginning of the turbo era.
The Fiat Uno turbo was one such example & that engine design is almost identical to what is found in the Punto.

In group A touring car (race series) specifications Turbo Uno is were capable of 300+ horsepower.

Of course u would not expect a long engine life with that output .so a road going version could get half that still with good fuel economy & engine life.
