It is what is the nicest looking car to you.. l like the fiat 500 it is pretty funky, fiestas are everywhere, fiat 500 is aren't.. ok fords are better than fiats, but who cares, it is your first car, have something different. plus if it is brand new, what can go wrong?

ford any day seriously. They are such reliable cars, and the most economically cheap to run. You wont get any problems with a ford.

fiat on the other hand..not so good.
and what kind of name is fiat anyway? it sounds like some shoe company or something. and why are their windscreens so small? its like a little box!

Top Gear puts the Fiat 500 on the ''Cool'' side of the cool wall - the fiesta does not even get a mention. Definitely Fiat 500.

Ford all the way. In ten years time the Fiesta will still be on the road, the Fiat will have been recycled into a washing machine!

The Fiat 500 is exactly the same car, and more expensive than, the Panda, only the outer panels are different. So you're paying a premium for styling.

I'd shop elsewhere - l would not trust the reliability of a Fiat, & Fords r not much better, although everyone swears blind they've 'never had a problem' with theirs.
If u want economy & reliability, u should be looking at a Nissan Micra or a Toyota Yaris.
No new car is 'cheap' - you're going to take a massive loss in value as soon as u drive off the forecourt. I'd suggest buying a used car; a well kept three year old Yaris will suffer less problems than a brand new Ford or Fiat.

It depends what you want and need from a car. l recently test drove both and decided on the Fiat.

But l have to confess the decision was an emotional one rather than practical - the Fiat is just plain funky and great fun to drive - the Ford gives the impression of being dependable but, let is face it, pretty boring.

The cars are so similar, just go for the one that presses your buttons. Oh, by the way - the ladies love the Fiat!

iv had fiesta,they r realy good runners,reliable cars,and service this car will be lot cheaper,then fiat.spare parts etc.

It depends what you want from the car.
The two are not direct competitors - the Fiesta is larger, and competes with Fiat is Punto. You need to decide if the additional space is something you want, or need, or even if the larger external dimensions will be a hindrance. If you ever need 5 seats, then that rules out the 500.
Both have good reviews from the Press, so neither is a bad buy.

ford= mediocre, reliable, everywhere.

fiat=cool, frustrating,different.

I'd go with the Fiat 500..The new Ford KA thats soon to be released is based on the Fiat 500/Panda and the development of the Fiat500/Panda & Ford KA was a joint venture between Fiat & Ford, which came about afer GM (General Motors) pulled out with their joint venture with Fiat where the New Grande Punto & the new Corsa is were developed.
But as l changed from a Fiat to a ford 1 year ago it will be a little time before l get a Fiat 500, as that is my next planned car.

fiat is cooler, but smaller. fiesta is nearly as good looking but is a bit bigger.
