l brought my car on 1 September 2007 (with 3 year warranty) and now the windscreen wipers have stopped working, l rang the car dealer and they said that they could not fix it until next month and that it was my problem not theirs.

Where do l stand now?Do l have to wait until next month and not drive in the rain or should l drive to the car dealer and say....?

Please let me know what you would do and what l am entitled to as the car is under warranty.
l have been to a garage and they have told me that the motor has seized up and it will cost lots.

You could get a dwarf to sit on the bonnet with a rag when you drive in the rain

just take it to the garage.. cant cost that much to fix a windscreen wiper

have you checked the fuse?

Phone fiat uk and give them serious greif down the phone.
If that does not help, get some vinyl stick on lettering made up saying ''bought 11 months ago - wipers not working - ******** garage refusing to repair under warrenty'' slap it on the side of your car and then park it outside their garage.
They will magically be fixed within a couple of days

Next month actually starts tomorrow so if it some time this week it is not unreasonable (although inconvenient) to wait.

If it is longer than that l would take my car to the dealership that sold me the car & inform them u want it fixing there & then or u will be explaining the warranty & after sales customer ''care'' to any prospective customers that step foot on their forecourt until they agree to fix it..

When will these business realise that in tough economic conditions it is us the consume that has the power & not them..

I'd be pretty sure that your warranty is only valid if you have regular yearly services which you should have had in the last month or so, l would insist that they look at it or put to their most senior member of staff that you will get it fixed elsewhere and send them the bill under the warranty but like l say if you have not had the first year service they may be within their rights not to cover you. Could be in the small print i'm afraid.
